| We loved our Kalani as a crib and toddler bed. We never had a problem with scratches, there are a few but it is to be expected. And we love the style and got a lot of complaints. But as a full size bed not so much. We have a gap between the mattress and the foot board about 4 inches wide. We stuffed the toddler bed in the gap because we feared our little boy could fall in the gap and get hurt or worse. We contacted MDB and they said this is the first they have heard this. first they were saying the mattress was maybe too short. But we have the same mattress for our daughters convertible crib not (MDB)and it is a perfect fit. So now instead of just sending new rails that would fix the problem they are wanting me to take pics of the rails, measure the rails (which I sent ASAP) and now they want me to disassemble the bed(take the very heavy mattress which is tempurpedic off) to get serial numbers. They are being difficult and are not going to move forward until I get the serial numbers for them. To say the least I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I am receiving from MDB. I would not recommend this crib to anyone. |

| This crib is very well built and was super easy to put together. However, we were wanting a white crib to go with the rest of our baby furniture. When we took it out of the box it looked very faded. We thought it was the lighting in the nursery. After we set it up and put it next to our white furniture the color was very vanilla yellow. Not white at all. Too late to return it so my husband is going to have to paint it. |

| This crib is great. We haven't actually used it for the baby yet, but it looks great and the finish matches the dresser and hutch exactly. It arrived in good condition and seems to be of good quality. |

| The crib, for the money we payed, is fantastic!! The look, quality, hardness of the wood and when it is all together in one peace, it is just tight together, hard!!! And it is really big, you can have it for a loooong time!! We got the mattress Twilight, which is perfect for the crib and changing table, DaVinci Kalani. The order was shipped really really fast and I think I did a great job choosing it!! |

Bought this in summer 2009 for my first baby. It looks very nice in her room and we've received alot of compliments. We chose espresso color and were not disappointed. It was relatively easy to put together and it nice quality and should last for years to come. Two things of note, my bumper doesn't seem to fit as snugly and not sure if it is my crib or bumper. Also, the rails do not come with crib (as many don't) but for some reason rails were hard to find when I tried to order separately. I finally found them on another website and ordered them. I was warned by friends to make sure I got rails as they frequently discontinue crib styles and finding the rails later on would be difficult.
For the price I paid I am totally satisfied and would get the crib again. I looked at other websites who wanted a ridiculous amount for shipping. was free and that was fantastic, saved over $100 on shipping alone. |
