Love it!2010-09-054 / 5
We love our crib. This was a Consumer Reports recommendation and we decided to get it in the Oak color. It is well made and nice looking. My parents paid for the crib as a baby gift and came over the other day to see it assembled and just loved it! I'm much shorter than my husband and it was important to me to have an adjustable mattress height. I will have no trouble getting the baby in and out of this crib. We'll get to start using it in the next month and we are so excited to have such a great looking crib to bring our new baby home to. (One note: all holes were pre-drilled and we sailed through putting it together until the very end when one of the pre-drilled holes didn't line up right. Fortunately my husband is handy and was able to figure out a solution, I've read other reviews that had similar trouble, so don't wait until the last minute to assemble this in case you have problems and need to exchange this).

Beautifil solid crib w/ easy assembly2010-09-025 / 5
I ordered this crib based on other reviews and needing a natural color to match a hand-me-down changing table. It did not take long for me to put together and seems very solid. The mattress fit snugly into the corners of the bed. I love the idea that she will be able to use this bed for a long time - don't know why anyone would not buy a convertible crib. You must purchase the side rails seperately; however, the cost is reasonable considering the potential length of use. Most importantly the baby likes it - she's already taking a nap in it.

crib is good, distribution center not so good.2010-08-302 / 5
The crib came and moderately easy to install. The most inconvenient part of the installation was that this crib must have been returned by another customer who didn't know what he/she was doing because one of the screws was stripped. I couldn't easily return the product since it was 90% finished by the time we found the stripped screw. needs to do a better job with checking its inventory and not sending used crap to ppl.

So far OK, but not perfect, high safety rating2010-08-224 / 5
We selected this crib due to its high safety rating with Consumer Reports, a middle of the road price, and a look we liked. We got the cherry finish. It was on sale here, and we got free shipping. The next level of crib with excellent safety ratings was more like $400, and this is not an item we would get used, although I think recycled and used baby-gear is great when that's not a safety issue.

It was not the easiest to assemble, and once assembled I noticed a large dent, a good 3"x2" in the wood on the main part of the crib, that is fully visible. I had no idea whether that dent was actually there from the shipping or if it got dented during assembly. Either way, much as earlier reviewers wrote, dents much too easily. I did see that one reviewer suggested adding your own additional coats of clear varnish to harden it, but given I was very pregnant and we were very busy, this did not strike me as very practical, but it may work great. I would be willing to pay an extra $20 to have them apply enough varnish to help prevent dents. I knew this was an issue and felt affordable safety outweighed aesthetic concerns, so I'm not really angry about it.

So far our baby is only 7 weeks and still sleeps in a portable travel crib in our bedroom. He lies in the crib if we're in the nursery and have to put him down to get something. Our standard Colgate mattress fits great and, other than the dent, it looks great. He'll be moved into crib at 3 months or so. Once baby is able to bang his toys or fists against it, I'm sure it will have more dents and nicks. And I'm sure he won't care a bit, so I won't lose sleep over it.

My other complaint is the toddler bed converter set is ridiculously overpriced, because they know they've got you. We got that as well, and obviously have no idea how that will work out yet.

Great crib2010-08-205 / 5
I purchased this crib after a lot of research. I found that it was on the top 10 cribs to buy and it has been great. My husband and brother in law put it together in about 25 minutes (they barely looked at the instructions)and the bedding that I had purchased looked great with the honey oak color. It came with the daybed conversion kit. No complaints here!
