Relieve the tension and release the stress Long hours sitting in an office can affect muscles and circulation in the back and legs. Changing positions frequently, even if only briefly, can make your day less stressful and more productive. This richlooking recliner is designed to do just thatAvailable in Black or Burgundy vinyl. Ships ready to assemble.

    Awesome but has limitations!2010-08-094 / 5
This chair does its job but with some caveats which you should be aware of. Read the review and determine if its a match but I can say I am quite happy with the chair.

You probably want to know if the chair allows you to work like an office chair and also sleep like its a comfy reclining chair?

The short answer is it does indeed work, but doesn't do either task perfect. It is also a bit heavy and bulky for an office chair, but it but can be considered small for a comfy chair.

*) Reviewed as an office chair?
Its leather so its easily cleaned and maintained. That's a plus. The armrests are somewhat low (for lying down obviously) but then again its not really needed as you are probably working at a desk anyway so arm rests aren't a deal breaker.

The basic seat angle is a problem though. The bottom seat you sit upon is slightly reclined meaning your butt is being pushed backwards. As an office chair, that's not very comfortable because it puts pressure on your lower back to sit up straight since its tilted backwards to get you to lean back. The required workaround for me was to put a pillow on the seat to even things out and make it more comfortable as well. I used one of those deforming soft foam pillows.

Given the pillow workaround, I found that this chair works fine as a large office chair. My desk and office area would not fit a reclining comfy chair so I am glad this chair fits.

*) Reviewed as a reclining comfy chair
Now the big question does this chair work for napping? Yes it does, but there are some limitations you should be aware of.

Leaning back causes the reclining mechanism to "move" a bit until the locking mechanism is hit. Its not a big noise but you can feel the machinery moving.

The slightly tilted seat (which is not ideal for a typical office chair) is fine for a recliner and comfortable to sit upon. Its easy to sit back into the chair and rest your head. When you pull the lever you can recline very comfortably and close your eyes and sleep. Its a bit of a hassle to unfold the leg supporter but its not really difficult to do either.

The biggest issue really depends on your height.

The head pillow for me is at the wrong position. I have to flip the head pillow up out of the way because its not in a comfortable position for my height. Fortunately, we can at least move the head pillow out of the way its not tied down.

The foot rest is also a question. At 6'10" (82 inches), my feet are off the foot rest by 6 inches meaning its an "ankle rest" and not a foot rest. Since I only use this to take a short naps when working its acceptable and allows me to nap. Sometimes I am too lazy to flip up the leg rest though and simply nap with my knees bent over or actually I put my feet on the desk.

    SUMMARY
Given these limitations I can say I am quite happy with the chair. Its pretty hard to find something which can be an office chair yet is comfortable enough for you to take a nap in. This chair does both. I can hide away in my office with a blanket, and I can get a lot of work done and nap without problem on those sleepy days where I needed more rest.

If they allowed some kind of adjustment for the headrest and the ankle/foot rest I would give this chair 5 stars but since I have to make "workarounds" I will give it 4 stars.

    Hope that helps!
Chair is too small for me 5"7", Cannot return it2010-08-091 / 5
I ordered this chair because someone 6'1" person said it was too small for him. Since I am 5'7", I thought it aught to be perfect for my small frame. The headrest hits my shoulders. MY feet hand way out in reclining position. I called to return the chair and the company wanted $84 restocking fee, and i had to pay for return shipment. The return shipment was over $80, so it was not worth returning the chair. I gave it away. Total waste of money.

Do not buy it without trying it out first.
    Just OK! Not worth $3202010-02-173 / 5
This chair is just OK! It's not as comfortable as I hoped. The arm rests might as well not be on the chair, they are so low you have to slouch to use them. the recline is not very comfortable at all. You fell as though you are going to slide off the chair. The foot rest doesn't elevate the feet enough they are at or below your but. If you are over 5'7" your feet hang off too far making it even more uncomfortable. Quality isn't bad just the comfort level is a bit dissapointing.

I ordered this chair for my son as a birthday gift. The "returns policy" for the manufacturer gave me pause. When I called I was told the item was not returnable because they only accept returns on items over 50 pounds in weight. So we knew we were taking a risk in ordering it. However, the customer service rep told me that my son was within the weight guidelines for the chair. I told her his height and weight. The chair is sold as a recliner desk chair. However, the leg support only extends as far as beneath the knees of my son -- obviously inadequate as a recliner. So we are stuck with a $300+ purchase which is not satisfactory to the user. Obviously, the lesson we've learned is, don't buy a chair that 1) YOU HAVEN'T SAT IN 2)CAN'T BE RETURNED. We won't repeat these mistakes. If you are over 6 feet tall, don't buy this chair. My son is 6'1" tall and this chair is not suitable for the use it purports to serve.
    Great dual use chair!2009-02-234 / 5
I got rid of my lazy-boy chair because it was too big for my (small) office/TV room. Not only was the lazyboy too big but also hard to maneuver when switching from watching TV to work the computer. This chair reclines like a champ! I haven't seen any other office type chair that reclines as far (by a mile).
