| I ordered this for my 58" Plasma. The unit showed up damaged by UPS (to be expected). The Techcraft customer support is GREAT. I called the number, it rang twice and was answered by a real person. They sent the replacement parts right out.
The only reason I didn't give this a 5 is because of the shelf thickness. The top shelf is plenty thick to hold the tv. My problem is with the thinner lower shelves. When placing my receiver in the center of the second shelf, it causes the glass to flex and not sit flat on all of the pads. The reciever weighs about 19 lbs. I added a few extra rubber bumpers to the center of the shelf and it seemed to help some. |

| | I'm extremely satisfied with the this tv stand. First, the delivery was very prompt and fast, went above and beyond. I originally thought that the stand wouldn't arrive for about a week and a half, it came in two days. The packaging was easy to open and there were no missing pieces. Everything was in good condition. I did worry about the glass, but all three pieces were good shape. The assembly was easy and painless. I suggest putting the frame together and placing the frame in it's place before placing the glass shelves in place. Assembly did take some time, since I did it by myself, but does fly because it is fun to put together. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a well-made TV stand for a good price. Simple, elegant and classy. |

| | So I got the techcraft stand. It's a very nice and sturdy stand, however I do have an issue with it. The glass on both shelves are uneven. The back portion of it is not touching the rubber stoppers... Did anyone else experience that or is it just me? |

| Anyone who gives this less than 5 stars must be rating some other item.
For those who say it's heavy, they're right - it's as big as a battleship.
And built like one.
Look - I can't put together ANYTHING...I have trouble with Tupperware - and this thing took me 55 minutes.
To assemble, clean up, vacuum, throw out the empty boxes & put the area back together again!
I mean, - can't you send me something that's scratched, or dinged, has some pieces missing, or at the very LEAST has the holes drilled wrong?
C'mon, at least make the instructions hard to understand, huh? (they weren't)
Assembly was easy, parts were numbered, everything was there (including an Allen wrench to screw bolts in).
All I needed was a screwdriver.
Man, this thing is big! And shiny.
The only thing I can say is that it's basically functional - not made of mahogany, no indented shelves, no hand carving, but then again...
If you're buying this thing, it means you have a 60"+ TV - aka the biggest, baddest thing on the block.
Which my 65" 3DTV is.
So I really don't want a stand that takes away from the TV (which it doesn't). It SUPPORTS the TV & blends into the background.
I went to all the stores & believe me, you can't touch this quality for this price.
Do yourself a favor - order one from , it's free shipping and arrives promptly.
Then, set aside an hour to set it up & mount that bad boy on top! You'll be glad you did. |
