This books makes you actually practice the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques you might just usually hear about, read about, or talk about. Doing is the difference in this book. It made me think, write, problem solve, and practice the methods I needed to help survive my depression.
The only thing that is wrong with this book is the title. 10 days? No way. Self-esteem? Well ok, but I thought needed to survive my depression before working on my self esteem. The only reason I ever bought a book with such a silly title is because a very respected, thoughtful, kind, well educated psychologist recommended it to me. Please don't let the title scare you away. This book might make as big a difference in your thinking as it has in mine.

This is very good book which challeges your thought pattern. Very well explained about what needs to be done in order to have healthy and positive thinking. But for reference you have to use other books by Dr. David Burns which are feeling good handbook and other is feeling good book. Your final result depends upon how long excersises you do. I wish everyone all the best.

I purchased this for a friend so I don't know too much about the book. It is a workbook and appears to be good. The Seller shipped promptly and the book was in good condition.

There were some insightful points about how I think negatively thus perpetuating my negative view of myself... but I just couldn't get into the exercises. Very specific, action-oriented exercises, but inner visualization works better for me. I think this book could work for some people; it just didn't for me.
