| new version already released | 2010-08-19 | 1 / 5 |
| | New version already released mid July. And the company does not want to give you free upgrade even if you buy x3 now. Go buy x4 directly if you want. The company doe snot want to take care of you if you don't check their web site about their new release. I happened to get it 2 weeks ago and did not aware about x4 is out. And I have to pay an upgrade price to buy x4 if I want. That is pretty much more than full listing price of x4. So my review is about the company, not the product. |
| Do not buy this product! | 2010-08-03 | 1 / 5 |
| DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
The registration and authorization process takes hours, and it does not work. The registration code they finely sent me, after all the time I waited, did not work.
DEFECTIVE PRODUT! POOR SUPPORT! Do NOT Buy PHOTOPLUS X3.
I was warned by other reviewers about the Registration/Authorization process and did not take it seriously. Do Not Make The Same Mistake.

| Horrible registration proceedure | 2010-07-19 | 1 / 5 |
| | I read the reviews for this product and was wary of the complaints about customers having difficulty registering this product. Hey, gang, guess what-ALL of the complaints were true! I tried to register over the internet to no avail and had to call Serif and all they wanted to do was sell more software. I tried to explain how cumbersome their registration proceedure was and the sales pitches continued. I talked to a "supervisor" and told him of the complaints listed on regarding their registration proceedures and his attitude was complete indifference. I would hope someone in the marketing division will contact Serif and ask them if a more streamlined registration proceedure might be in order, because I will never buy anything from these arrogant idiots again. Oh, and the software is quite good. I had no problem loading and as a former Photoshop user it was easy to pick up. Suggestion, when registering via phone, get rude, stay rude and then when the "supervisor" gets on the line, get really, really rude, then you'll get your registration number right away, but don't suggest they ought to make the proceedure simpler because the Brits think it's "veddy, veddy good." Ay, whot, pip, pip and all that rot! |
| A bumpy on the install and a little complex initially, but works okay | 2010-06-30 | 4 / 5 |
| We had trouble installing the program, but once we figured that out, getting around the screens were a little confusing.
I had to walk away and come back to this another day in order to figure it out.
The menus - once you get use to how the display is laid out - there was was a semi ease in use and even my 13year old daughter could get it once I explained it to her.
I would say this is a great exception to adobe photoshop |
| Takes Time to Learn, But Worth It | 2010-05-26 | 4 / 5 |
| | I already own several photo programs and they all take a fair amount of time to learn. If you're looking for a program that you'll instinctively know how to do everything, this one isn't it, but if you are willing to take the time to learn about the different tools and features, you'll find that this program is more powerful than the price tag leads you to believe. After a couple of months of ownership, I've found that I'm using this program more frequently for a couple of neat features, but I have to say that I do not care for the resizing feature. All-in-all, it's a powerful program for its price point. |
